Worcestershire Royals
Not one of the more successful Twenty20 sides, the Royals have struggled since the competition began in 2003, reaching the quarter finals only on three occasions; they have never gone further. They do not boast the best looking squad of players on paper either, with only a handful of former internationals that include Vikram Solanki, who is the club captain. The team will play in the Northern Division in the 2010 Twenty20 Cup. They are currently ranked 12th in the Twenty 20 Cup Rankings
2009 Twenty20 Cup Performance
The Royals failed to qualify for the quarter finals for the second season runnung after only finishing fourth in the now defunct Midland group. They managed to win and five and lose five of their ten matches, which left them four points short for a qualifying place.
2009/10 Squad
The squad is made up from only 21 players that seems short of genuine all rounders and spin bowlers. That said they had four players who scored over 200 runs in the competition. .
