Surrey Browncaps
The Surrey Browncaps Twenty20 Cricket team are a side that contains several former International players blended with several talented newcomers and are captained by Englishman, Stewart Walters, who stood in after former England star, Mark Butcher retired from first class cricket. They will be playing in the newly revamped Twenty20 cup Souther Division from 2010 onwards. They are ranked at number 16 in the Twenty20 Cup Rankings
Twenty20 Cup Performances
The Browncaps were the inaugural winners of the Twenty20 Cup in 2003 when they beat Warwickshire Bears in the final. They then qualified for next three Grand Finals days, being knocked out in the semi finals twice and were Runners Up in 2004 to Leicestershire Foxes.
Since 2006 however, they form has gone backwards and they have failed to qualify for Finals for the past three years. In 2009 they could oould only manage two wins from ten matches in the Southern group and only narrowly finished above Middlesex on run rate.
