Middlesex Panthers
From top to bottom in 12 months is the best was to describe the Panthers form over the year. Winners of the T20 Cup in 2008 and bottom of the South Group in 2009, a slide that makes little sense considering the strength of their squad. They will be contesting the Southern Division of the Twenty20 Cup in 2010. They are captained by former England player, Shaun Udal and are currently ranked at number 2 in the Twenty20 Cup Rankings
Twenty20 Cup Performances
As stated above, the Panthers won the 2008 T20 Cup in fantastic style beating, favourite's Kent Spitfires in the final. However in 2009 they only managed two wins in ten games in the Southern Division and failed miserably to qualify for Finals day. Apart from 2008, the Panthers have only made into the knock out stages once before, that was in 2005 where they were eliminated in the quarter finals.
