Kochi Tuskers Kerala

Kochi is one of the two new franchises in the Indian Premier League for 2011 and they will be making their debut in the tournament with a new roster of players. Kochi is located in the south-west of India in the state of Kerala and is owned by Kochi Cricket Pvt ltd, who will no doubt be looking for their team to hit the ground running this season.

Former Australian fast bowler Geoff Lawson will be the head coach of Kochi for 2011 and 2012 but he will be expected to bring success to the team after the huge amount of money that was spent at the auction. The home games for Kochi will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kerala for 2011 but will move to a top class 50,000 capacity facility in 2012.
