Essex Eagles
One of the strongest Twenty20 cricket records achieved was when all rounder, Graeme Napier smashed an unbeaten 152 off just 58 balls to become the highest run scorer so far in the Twenty20 Cup. His innings included 16 sixes, which is another record of the most sixes hit in one match. Essex have a very strong team, including England vice captain, Alistair Cook, England middle order batsman, Ravi Bopara and South African batsman, Hashim Amla. They are currently ranked at number 10 in the Twenty20 Cup Rankings
Twenty20 Cup Performances
Despitee Napier's astonishing performance in 2008, Essex were only able to get to the semi final stages of the 2008 competition, losing to Kent. It was their second appearance on finals day, but as yet they are yet to get any further. They failed to qualify from the Southern Group in 2009, finishing fourth of six with five wins and four defeats.
