Delhi Daredevils
Owned by the CMR Group, with Bollywood star and former Big Brother inmate, Yoogesh Shetty controlling the team from her lofty position as Chief Executive Officer.
On the pitch the team is captained by Indian International, Virender Sehweg, who has been made one of the icon players of the IPL.
The team boast several big hitting batsmen that include Tillakaratne Dilshan and the big hitting but highly cultured, AB de Villiers of South Africa.
In the first season, the 'Daredevils' qualified for the semi final knock out stages by finishing in fourth place. They were however soundly thrashed by the eventual winners, Rajasthan Royals.
In the 2009 season they were the best team in the League standings, winning ten of their fourteen matches. Luck unfortunately deserted them in the knock out stages where they were put out by eventual winners, Deccan Chargers in the semi final.
Despite disappointing perfomances in the knock out stages, Delhi Daredevils remain one of the very best teams and they will probab;y start as favourites in the IPL Betting market, to win the 2010 IPL. They are currently ranked 5th in the IPL T20 Rankings
