Deccan Chargers

Owned by the Deccan Chronicle, the Deccan Chargers are the current champions of the IPL having beaten the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2009 Final after finishing fourth in the League iself. They are led by Adam Gilchrist who replaced VVS Laxman as captain, Gilchrist played brilliantly throughout the IPL and deservedly won Player of the Tournament. The Chargers are currently ranked 4th in the latesr T20 IPL Rankings
